The typeface created on this website references
the unique prints constructed by a tribe in South
Africa called Zulu. The Zulu people hold a bold,
geometric, and symbolic technique when creating
their prints on African mudclothes. This is where
I found my inspiration in creating this typeface.
Similar to the Zulu people pattern, I wanted a
structure that can expand across letters, numbers
and symbols. To enhance the experience, I to
apply three colors on this website: dark brown,
golden beige, and burgundy red. In each transition
moment the end letter, number, and symbol extends
to the next character. In this transition moment
movement and flexility to demonstrate the movement
found in their private masquerade. This website is
stretched horizontally and not vertical to create
a banner affect.
